The quintessential coconut!
Organic coconut paste comes from 100% certified BIO cultivation and is made by grinding coconut pulp. It takes the form of a thick cream at a higher temperature, so all you need to do to keep it from being hard is to heat it, preferably in a water bath. Coconut mousse, often referred to as coconut butter, is a tasty source of: fibre, potassium, magnesium and iron.
Unlike coconut oil, it is more dense, making it a great addition to omelettes, cakes or bars. It also works well as one of the ingredients in smoothies, or as a substitute for cream, as a crowning touch to a fruit dessert.
Store the jar in a dry and shady place, and once opened, put it in the fridge. At higher temperatures, the mousse takes on a more liquid form. Stir thoroughly before using.
